We all have so many apps in our mobile phones these days. Some of them are really useful and some are just occupying the memory without being used since a very long time. You will definitely find Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram etc, apps on almost everyone’s phone. Most of the people also have multiple gaming apps in their phones which actually consume a lot of space of your phone memory. There is nothing bad having these apps, but there are almost every single thing available in form of a application. Then why are we wasting our phone’s memory in these not so useful apps instead of that we can install the more useful apps. There are so many apps that can keep track of your health and workout, apps that can help in managing your expenses and savings; application that can help in learning something new, apps that can guide you about the weather in advance or almost everything can be done using an application these days. Then why not to try on some of these applications? Here we are providing you some must have android phone application and they are as follows –
- Pocket Casts
It is an app where you can get the features of a podcast in an android phone. Android phones don’t come with a podcast app by default and this app is covering the flaws of Android. You get download this app from play store. This is not a free app, you have to pay $4 for this, which is equivalent to approximately 257 INR. But this cost is nothing in comparison of the features that this app provides. You go on listening to podcast for hours on this app. It is also an easy to understand, easy to use and a well designed application.
- 1Password or LastPass
These applications are actually password managers. 1Password provides a space to the user, where he/she can store their passwords and other private or sensitive information in a virtual vault which is guarded by a master password. On the other hand, the LastPass saves your passwords in a private account in encrypted form. But make one thing sure, you also need to start using these applications for your desktop or laptop also. Out these two applications, I would prefer 1Password, as it is easy to use and understand and also don’t have any security and vulnerability issues. While in case of LastPass, the pro is that it is free to download and use but it has some security issues.
- Weather Timeline
There are hell lots of apps that predict weather and till date the best app for this purpose is the Dark Sky. Dark Sky can predict the exact timings of when the rain will start and when will it end, and to with great accuracy. It rarely gets wrong. But here I am not suggesting you guys to use Dark Sky, as it is not for free, plus it is an expensive application to use for many (although the app has more features than its cost). Now here we are suggesting you an app which follows Dark Sky and that is Weather Timeline. It uses Dark Sky’s data to make predictions and here you are using Dark Sky (indirectly) and that also in $1.49 which is approximately 96 INR. The app is really easy to use. It has really nice design, also is very colorful and is also customizable.
- VSCO
This app has the best photo filter among all. You can make your photo get filtered in a jiffy and can make them look like a masterpiece. They have the basic editing tools as well so that you can edit and customize your pictures quickly. They really have a very nice and a great range of filters available for you. The only con with the app is that the company continuously releases the updates versions, almost in every couple of months, and they are making it more complex for us to use. They are adding more features that are completely useless and also shifting some of the controls from here to there, which makes it difficult for us to use.
- Flamingo
For the people who are more into social media like Twitter, than this app is a must try for you. It has so much to customize. You can customize colors, you can create your own themes and you can also customize the feeds that you are able to swipe on your home screen. You can also add a specific search list if you want to. The app have many more features like – detailed muting system, read later feature, etc, and all this come in $2 only, which is around 128 INR.
- Inbox by Gmail
We all faces problem of having a crowded emails in your email’s inbox on a daily basis. There are so many promotional emails everywhere, so many social media updates emails, etc, and all of us have fed up with this now. So, if you want your inbox to automatically sort the useful emails and the useless emails for you, go for this app. This app makes groups of emails that could be useful for you and that are not so important for you. This makes our work easy to focus on the main and important emails.
- Push Bullet
One of the best features of using an iPhone is to get the phone’s notifications on your computer and you can also interact with some from there only. But there was nothing like this available for android phones. But, now you can get this feature on your android phone as well with the help of Push Bullet. This app is really good for doing this stuff. You just need to install the application in your android phone and then have to install it on your computer, Mac, or laptop and you are good to go. It is not as good as this feature works in iPhones, but still not a bad option to try.
- Google Fit
It is a great fitness app. It can count your footsteps and let you if you have finished your goal for the day or not? You can set this goal by yourself. It is a really good app for those you are trying to be fit or for those who are already into such things. I have founded it to be approximately 90 – 95% accurate which is not bad at all.
- Audio Recorder
I still don’t know why, but most of the android phones don’t have voice recorders. And if you someone who is in need for such an app then Sony’s nondescript is the best one. It is available on play store for free, it has very simple and easy to understand features and is really a very easy to use. The only cons that I have find till date is firstly, the recording quality is not that good by default and also the memory space taken by these file is huge.
- Pocket
This is the best app for those who always takes either screenshots of the article to read later or add them to the save the article on social medias. If you are also a reader like me, this is the app for you. Here you can save the article of your choice that you come across while browsing on internet or while scrolling down to your social media accounts etc. You just need to install the app form the play store, and then you will get an option to save it with pocket, above the articles and you just need to click on the icon and that’s it. Your article has been saved and now you can read it as and when you want.
- Messenger Lite
If you are someone who is always on facebook messenger, than this is a very helpful app for you and that is because as its name implies ‘Lite’, which means it is lighter in every context form the original messenger app. It has some fewer features, like poll or video chatting but still good to go for the basic features. It also uses less space in your phone memory and will also use less mobile data while you are using it and the best part, it is free of cost.
